Thoughtful talk. Real growth.
Hello, and welcome! I am Kari Allen, a Clinical Social Work/Therapist Licensed by the State of Michigan. I received my Masters of Social Work from Grand Valley State University in 2018.
I work with women and children who are struggling with anxiety, autism, trauma, depression, ADHD and issues adapting to changes in life. My goal is to always provide a safe, understanding space where you feel truly heard.
You also won't be the only one getting a warm welcome when you visit! I also have a French Bulldog (Frankie) who joins me in the office as she is training to be a therapeutic emotional support animal. We both look forward to meeting you!
Have you ever wished for a way to feel better and learn to manage your emotions or a way to a better future?
Taking that first step toward therapy can feel a bit daunting, but you don't have to navigate it alone. Here at Karing Conversations, I focus on creating a peaceful and calming environment to allow all to heal in their own ways, and I assist clients in developing small, easily attainable goals to reduce the overwhelming feelings that a big change can cause.
Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, I look forward to supporting you in ways that will help you to grow, change, and create a life of joy and happiness.
Navigating big emotions, behavioral challenges, and school issues can be tough. I provide a safe, engaging environment using specialized approaches like play therapy and expressive arts to help children and adolescents process their feelings and build healthy coping skills.
Whether you are managing anxiety, depression, trauma, postpartum challenges, or simply navigating a difficult life transition, you don't have to do it alone. I offer a compassionate, judgment-free space to help you heal, find balance, and reclaim your joy.
I provide dedicated, neurodiversity-affirming care tailored to the unique ways you or your child experience the world. With extensive experience in behavioral support and communication tools like PECS, I help individuals with Autism and ADHD thrive on their own terms.
