am passionate about helping others find their unique path to healing. I hold both my Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Grand Valley State University. My Master's degree includes a specialization and certification in schools, while my Bachelor's degree focused on child welfare, where I also hold a certification. I believe education is a lifelong journey, and I make it a personal goal to continually explore new therapy styles and earn additional certifications so I can best serve a broad, diverse audience. I currently serve as a clinical supervisor and therapist at Hope & Wholeness Psychology Center. As a clinical supervisor, I am dedicated to helping emerging therapists build their skills, find their clinical voice, and step into their practice with clarity.
Faith
My Christian faith is a deeply important part of my life. However, my therapeutic approach is rooted in a profound respect for every individual I work with. I will never impose my beliefs on a client. I honor that everyone holds their own unique perspectives and worldviews, and I am wholly committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and entirely non-judgmental space for people from all walks of life.
Family
I am very much a family person and deeply devoted to the people I love. My family includes four wonderful adult children, a beautiful granddaughter, and a Godson whom we love as our own. We believe that shared adventures and vacations are an essential part of a fulfilling life. Because I value this time to recharge and connect with my loved ones, we love to travel as much as possible. Out of respect for your therapeutic journey, I will always provide you with plenty of advance notice before I am out of the office for a trip, barring any unexpected family emergencies.
Furry Friends
I am a huge animal lover, and my furry family members are a big part of my life! At home, I have a cat named Sven and a Great Dane named Mack, who is an emotional support animal. If you visit my office, you will likely get to meet Frankie, my French Bulldog. Frankie frequently joins me in sessions and is currently training to become an officially certified therapy dog. She already does a wonderful job bringing comfort and love to my clients, and she has a special soft spot for the littles!
